It is part of the Lesser Sunda chain of islands and forms part of the Komodo National Park, one of the richest marine environments. The island is the habitat of the Komodo dragon, the largest lizard on Earth, which is named for the island. These giant lizards are the main attraction of the island, but you have to be very careful since they are really dangerous.
