Khasab is a city in the area of Oman and the capital of the Musandam peninsula. It is frequently called the "Norway of Arabia" because of its extensive craggy inlets that look like fjords and desolate mountainscapes. The city is home to the Khasab Castle which is definitely worth visiting, as it has many replicas of traditional Musandam houses and traditional Musandam artifacts on display. The region's archaeology and its natural history are of great interest.
