Greenock is a port located on the steep west central Lowlands of Scotland, approximately 45 minutes from Glasgow. Ullapool is a village of around 1,500 inhabitants in Ross-shire, Scottish Highlands. A few Cordyline australis or New Zealand cabbage trees are grown in the town and are often mistaken for palms. The Ullapool River flows through the village.
