Piraeus port is the gateway to Athens center. Don't miss the Parthenon, the temple to Athena which looms over Athens from its perch atop the Acropolis, an eternal icon of art and civilization. Gythion, the historic town of southern Peloponnese near the mouth of the river Eurotas, is the main port of the Laconic Gulf. The city of Gythio communicates through a pier with a small island, ancient Kranai or Marathonisi, the place chosen by Paris to marry Helen. The homonym octagonal lighthouse (lighthouse Kranai) is also situated there.

Chania is a coastal city in northwest Crete. Souda, the port of Chania is a very important port of the Eastern Mediterranean. The old Venetian port city only accommodates yachts and fishing boats and the waterfront is the busiest part of the town.

Adamas is the main port of Milos. In the summer months it is full of life. Here, relaxation and tranquility are combined with nightlife and entertainment. The island is world famous for its masterpiece, the famous statue of Aphrodite of Milos.

Santorini is essentially what remains of an enormous volcanic explosion dated back 3,600 years (between 1627- 1600 BC) and which created the current geological caldera: a giant central lagoon, more or less rectangular, measuring about 12 by 7 km. The effect is still explosive: 300-m-high steep cliffs on three sides rise from sea level, cubic white houses surrounded by pink bougainvilleas glow in the Aegean sun.
