Shanghai is the largest city in Mainland China, located on the south edge of the mouth of the Yangtze. Shanghai a former tiny fishing village and textile town, has developed into a sophisticated, cosmopolitan and dynamic metropolis. It is a tourist destination widely known for its historical landmarks such as the City God Temple and Yu Garden, many skyscrapers, and major museums like the Shanghai Museum and the China Art Museum. Tokyo is also known for its many restaurants, luxurious hotels and its wonderful and vibrant nightlife.
