Puerto Plata (Silver Harbor) is one of the provinces of the Dominican Republic. The capital is San Felipe de Puerto Plata. Puerto Plata is located in the north of the Dominican Republic. It is bordered on the southwest by the province of Monte Cristi, on the south-central by Valverde, on the southeast by Santiago and on the east by Espayat. Part of it is located at the foot of the Northern Mountains.
St. Thomas's coastline is an endless succession of sandy crescents and protected coves. Philipsburg is the capital of the Dutch section of the island Saint Maarten, which, geographically 60% percent French and 40% Dutch.
