Southampton is the largest city of Hampshire on the south coast of England. Southampton is a major port.  It was the point of departure for the RMS Titanic in 1912.

The biggest city of Rogaland county is very conveniently located in the south-western corner of Norway and forms the shortcut to the Norwegian fjords. The Stavanger region claims to be the cradle of the Vikings. Having been European Capital of Culture in 2008 has added extra cultural dimensions to “The Petroleum Capital of Norway”, another title that Stavanger holds, as it is considered the center of the oil industry in Norway. Cruise ships dock in the very city center, near the oldest part of the town, so, take a short walk to see the the main square and social hub,  the bronge statue of Nobelist Alexander Kielland (1849-1906), the lovely cathedral and the charming historic area Gamle, with its cobbled pedestrian streets and colorful collection of 18th- and 19th-century wooden structures, Stavanger domkirke (St. Svithun's cathedral) and the Norwegian Petroleum Museum (Norskolje Museum).The best views of Stavanger and the surrounding area are to be had from Vålandshaug hill (85 m).

On the glorious Geirangerfjord, one of Norway's most impressive sights, Geiranger is the picture-perfect fjord town and the jewel in the crown of the Norwegian fjords, surrounded by dramatic landscapes. Dalsnibba is one of Geiranger’s main attractions and is a very popular mountain top with visitors to the area. From the Dalsnibba plateau there is a breath-taking view across the most beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site, nestled in the surrounding mountain landscape with Geirangerfjorden right in the middle. In town, you can do some souvenir shopping or taste local delicacies at the small restaurants.

Lying north of the Arctic Circle, Tromso has been a departure point for Arctic explorers and hunters since the 18th century. Midway between the Lofoten Islands and the North Cape, lies Tromso, amid some of Norway’s most fascinating coast and fjord landscapes. Today, this town of some 50.000 individuals, is home to the northernmost university in the world, which gives Tromso a lively cultural and street scene, highlighted by the annual Midnight Sun Marathon. Among its most distinctive buildings are the Domkirke, one of the biggest wooden churches in the country and the impressive Arctic Ocean Cathedral (Ishavskatedralen), built in 1965, landmark of the town, containing one of the most impressive stained-glass windows in Europe. Don't miss a visit to the famous Mack Olbryggeri beer house, of the most northern in the world. Also, Polaria, which has an arctic aquarium where the main attractions are the bearded seals, the University Museum of Tromsø and the Polar Museum, housed in a traditional wharf house from 1830 amid some of Tromsø's oldest buildings. For a breathtaking view, take Fjellheisen Cable Car and climb 420 metres above sea level to the summit of Mt. Storsteinen, for dramatic views of Tromso city and Troms Island.

Alta is located at the end of the Altafjord in Northern Norway. Although it is on the mainland of Norway it also includes parts of the islands of Stjernøya and Seiland. Alta is known as "the Aurora Borealis city" and is a favorite spot of scientists and tourists who wish to observe them. Visitors come from around the world to see the Stone Age carvings and the Sami culture as well as the dogsleds and the reindeer.

Kristiansund, the city of flowers and culture, is the capital of Southern Norway, located between the metropolises of Stavanger and Oslo. It is the country's fifth-largest city, a town of commerce, festivals and natural beauty, a city with a rich history, also known as the Klipfish (dried, salted cod) and the opera town. Beautifully situated on four islands at the edge of the ocean, Kristiansund has a spectacular harbor, an intimate, colorful and convivial town that is perfect for day trips. The access to the city center with the fish market "Fiskebrygga" and old town “Posebyen” is easy. During your walk, you will pass a 17th-century fortress, and a public beach.The town has a wide range of attractions such as the Atlantic Road, only 30 min by bus, ranked the world’s best road trip by the British newspaper ‘The Guardian’. The road, 8,3 kms long, zigzags across bridges and skerries, bringing you right out to the edge of the Atlantic Ocean!

Beautiful Bergen is the second largest city in Norway and "Gateway to the fjord country". It overlooks the amazing Byfjorden and is surrounded by steep, forested mountains. This lively university town, was founded on an old Viking settlement in the year 1070 and has a proud history and many interesting cultural monuments. It is a designated World Heritage City and its area Bryggen (the Wharf) with its 61 "wooden buildings, houses museums, shops, restaurants and pubs is also listed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. If you have time, don't miss the Fløibanen funicular ride up to Fløyen (320 m above sea level), which offers the best panorama, on a clear day. Bergen is a popular cruise destination and the leading cruise port in Norway, with around 330 cruise ship calls bringing more than 450,000 cruise passengers per year. 

Haugesund is a town in Rogaland county, Norway. The town is situated on a strategically important sound, the Karmsundet.
